The Australia Test cricket captain Tim Paine has apologised for his unsportsmanlike behaviour as his side were denied victory by India in the third Test in Sydney, admitting that his actions “fell short of my expectations and team standards”.
Paine, 36, apologised after being recorded on a stump microphone calling India’s Ravichandran Ashwin a “dickhead” and a “goose”.
