The agent of Neil Lennon has come out swinging in the wake of Saturday’s humbling 2-0 defeat to Rangers.
Hoops fan Martin Reilly has represented the Irishman for a number of years and waded into a Twitter storm with supporters
Celtic and their manager came in for criticism from pundits and supporters alike in the wake of their lifeless display against their greatest rivals.
The Premiership champions failed to muster a shot on target but Reilly believes fans must trust in Lennon despite the humbling defeat.
And the player rep admits he’s stunned the Hoops fanbase still question the 49-year-old’s ability to get Celtic back on track as he responded to well-known Hoops follower Paul The Tim.
He said: “Paul, I know your disappointed but the way people turn on Lenny and the club baffles me.”
Reilly was also quick to remind other fed-up Celtic fans about the post-match recriminations in the wake the defeat to Rangers last December before the Hoops turned things around.
And he is adamant that those questioning Lennon will be eating humble pie before the end of the season as he hit back on another peeved supporter.
He added: “Team was decimated. We have a saying Keep the Faith. You lack it. Lennon will deliver. He always does.”
