Meltdown started – Nottingham Forest fans react to Chris Hughtons first team – Nottinghamshire Live

Nottingham Forest fans certainly had a strong reaction to Chris Hughton’s first team selection.

The Reds boss has gone with a 4-2-3-1 formation with four changes from Sabri Lamouchi’s final game in charge – the 2-1 defeat to Bristol City.

Out go central defenders Loic Mbe Soh and Tyler Blackett with the latter injured. In their place are fit again Scott McKenna and Tobias Figueiredo.

Ryan Yates gets the nod in midfield to partner Jack Colback with Harry Arter only on the bench.

The final change sees Joe Lolley return out wide in place Alex Mighten, who is also on the bench.

It was inevitably Yates’ selection which garnered the most reaction given he has been singled out for a criticism by a selection of the fanbase on Twitter.

There was plenty of negative reaction to his inclusion, but also support.

Andy Robinson: Yates definitely the next Osborn. Scapegoated by fans constantly, but no matter who the manager is, will always be picked, because he’s not actually as shit as people love to think

Nige.M : Pretty much the same side today so will be interesting to see if a different management style works with them

Trevor Smith : Has the #nffc meltdown started yet?

Scott E: Come on Yatesy, let’s those others know you ain’t gonna take it lying down. He started the season reasonably well. That’s the last 3 managers that have picked him. Maybe they know something others don’t

Lee Millward : I think Hughton has picked up Sabris teamsheet up by accident

Joseph Burns: Forgot my rule about not reading the replies when #nffc tweet the team news.

Chris: Let’s have it right, Yates is only starting cos Arter isn’t fully fit. But whatever, all the players deserve a clean slate with a new manager. Let’s see what we can do today

KiaNFFC : Bloody hope Yates has the game of his life. Hat-trick n’all
