fter a night of high drama in the Premier League on Tuesday, Wednesday should offer plenty more action up and down the table.
Tuesday’s action offered plenty of goals and VAR controversy, with Wolves battling back to beat nine-man Arsenal – who had David Luiz and Bernd Leno sent off on a miserable night at Molineux. The Gunners are appealing Luiz’s red card, though the immediate result left Mikel Arteta’s side in 10th place.
Sheffield United beat fellow strugglers West Brom 2-1 to spark hopes of an unlikely relegation escape act, while Crystal Palace won 2-1 at Newcastle – but the tie of the evening came at Old Trafford as Manchester United equalled a League record with a 9-0 drubbing of nine-man Southampton.
Tonight’s five games have a lot to live up to after that excitement, but leaders Man City are looking to go clear of rivals United as they face Burnley at Turf Moor. Fulham host Leicester City, Everton travel to Leeds United, champions Liverpool look to continue their fine form with an Anfield clash against Brighton, while West Ham will be aiming to return to winning ways in what could be a lively encounter at Aston Villa.

FULL-TIME | Burnley 0-2 Man City
Another excellent evening’s work for Pep Guardiola’s men.
Burnley 0-2 Man City
89 mins: Into the final minue of normal time at Turf Moor and I’m not quite sure how Burnley have kept it at just two but fair play to them.
Fulham 0-2 Leicester
81 mins: Decent chance, this, and it might have set up a thrilling finish as Mitrovic slips in Decordova-Reid outside him but Justin gets just a touch on his strike to divert it behind.
Burnley 0-2 Man City
76 mins: Not Ederson’s finest moment as he comes out sweeping as usual but takes a touch rather than clears and shows too much of it to Pieters. He has to take the full-back out and sees yellow.
Burnley 0-2 Man City
71 mins: Hmm. Ilkay Gundogan cushions into the path of Gabriel Jesus and after controlling the Brazilian is brought down by Tarkowski but Martin Atkinson waves play on and VAR doesn’t call him back for a second look.
Fulham 0-2 Leicester
64 mins: Goal disallowed!
That was almost goodnight. Ricardo thrashes home after playing a one-two with Albrighton but the flag is up against the winger in the build-up.
Fulham 0-2 Leicester
61 mins: No real sign of a way back for Fulham at the moment, despite those couple of half-time changes.
Burnley 0-2 Man City
57 mins: Goal disallowed!
Could be tight, this, but the flag is up as Riyad Mahrez steers home from Gabriel Jesus’ low cross…
Yep, VAR confirms, just off.
Burnley 0-2 Man City
50 mins: Should be three. Raheem Sterling is slotted clean through from the left-flank and might even square it to leave Mahrez a tap-in but he tries to sidefoot past Pope and the ‘keeper makes a good stop with his foot.
