Aston Villa fans have been reacting to reports that Manchester City are keen on making a double transfer swoop for Douglas Luiz and Jack Grealish.
The Daily Star claimed on Sunday that Grealish is at the top of City’s list of transfer targets ahead of the January window while Douglas is also wanted.
Grealish was heavily linked with a move to City’s local rivals Manchester United in the summer but opted to stay at Villa, signing a new contract with his boyhood club.
It was reported over the summer that Villa had put an £80 million price tag on Grealish to try and ward off potential suitors.
Grealish has began the season in fine form, with five goals and six assists in all competitions at this early stage of the 2020-21 campaign.
He has been impressing for England, too, with the 25 year-old one of few positives from Sunday night’s 2-0 Nations League defeat to Belgium.
With Villa beginning the new season in fine form, Douglas has been enjoying a good start to 2020-21 picking up from where he left off after lockdown.
City sold Douglas to Villa last year having failed to secure a work permit for the Brazilian international but there was a buy-back clause in the deal.
The Daily Star report that City are preparing a £100 million ‘raid’ for the two players but that figure is highly unlikely to fetch even one of them.
Villa fans have hit back after those reports surfaced.
“£100m suggests Jack is £75m max and there’s no chance we sell at that price,” one fan said.
“Be devastated if Luiz leaves, not many combative playmakers about,” added another while a third supporter said: “Step up £200m! Jack alone is around £100m-plus now.”

“And the rest,” said another and a fifth fan adds: “They need to prepare a little more then.”
“Well Jack on his own would be £100m so if they’re planing a £100m bid for both they’ll be way off,” added another Villa supporter.
City are preparing an overhaul of their squad having finished second to Liverpool in the Premier League last season.
