Manchester City are finally back to winning ways as they managed to hold out for a 1-0 victory over Arsenal on Saturday night.
Already without Kevin De Bruyne, City suffered further blows before the match as Aymeric Laporte and Benjamin Mendy were ruled out but Sergio Aguero started his first game since June 22 and put in a selfless performance.
The Argentine played a key role in what would transpire to be the winner, as his driving run and slide rule pass to Phil Foden led to Raheem Sterling tucking away the rebound after the England international’s shot was saved.
City enjoyed a lot of the ball throughout the match and, despite lining up in a baffling formation, should have gone further ahead but the Gunners managed to fight their way back into the match.
Ederson was called upon on several occasions, namely to save from Bukayo Saka and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, but the Brazilian held firm and the Blues managed to secure the three points.
