Celtic 0 Rangers 2 – Gerrard’s men dominate derby

Speaking to Sportsound, he said: “People can make it out to be whatever they want it to be.

“It’s been disruptive with the Covid and it’s been disruptive with some of them being away on international duty and I’m not sure some of them are are on the ball today mentally.

“It’s not great. Somebody within the club is doing us in and it’s disgusting I think.

“We will try (to get to the bottom of it). We will work at it but it’s very disappointing.

“Of course it makes my job more difficult. I keep talking about a sense of privacy around our club but it doesn’t seem to be the case with some people and it’s very, very disappointing.”

Celtic’s dreary day was summed up by the fact they failed to muster a shot on target during the match as Connor Goldson’s double had Rangers on easy street.

And the Hoops boss admitted his team were well short as they fall four points behind their rivals in the title race.

He said: “We’ve given away two poor goals, from our point of view, one from a set play and one from the second phase of a set play.

“We missed a good chance to equalise, goals change games, the psychology of games.

“We didn’t have enough, we didn’t have enough today.

“A sort of sharpness. The boys coming off the bench didn’t have the type of impact we were hoping for.

“We have to take this result and take an honest look at it and start to build for better.

“We have Ajeti not fully fit, Griffiths not fully fit, Edouard out. We’ve got three mainline strikers missing to start with.

“Rangers defended their box pretty well today and I think that was the difference.

“We were pretty decimated coming into the game with injuries and covid but I felt we had a pretty strong team out.

“After the second goal you feel you are chasing the team.”
