Chris Sutton and Micah Richards couldn’t agree with their choices.
As it stands, Jose Mourinho’s Spurs lead the trio.
With 17 points from their first eight matches, Spurs are one point behind league leaders Leicester having banged in 19 goals in a fast-paced start to the season.
Only Chelsea, currently in fifth, have scored more. After a leaky start to the campaign, they have tightened up at the back and are two points off Spurs.
Three points further behind are the Gunners, who are fresh off the back of a humiliating 3-0 home defeat at the hands of Aston Villa.
Richards, the former Villa and Manchester City defender, thinks Spurs are the team who will finish top of the London tree come the end of the season.
‘Spurs for me,’ he told the Daily Mail.
‘The style Mourinho has got them playing isn’t the most attractive but it is efficient and ask yourself this: if you were a defender, would you want Harry Kane, who is in the form of his life, Son Heung-min and Gareth Bale running at you?
‘Those three give Spurs a fear factor and Mourinho should not be underestimated.’
Sutton, however, suspects Chelsea will finish higher and raised doubts over Spurs’ credentials.
‘Chelsea,’ he added. ‘There’s talk of Spurs going all the way under Jose Mourinho.
‘I don’t think they can, but we’ll learn a lot about them after the international break.
‘Their league fixtures are: Manchester City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Crystal Palace, Liverpool, Leicester, Wolves.’
