Arsenal would go on to have goalkeeper Bernd Leno sent off as well and Luiz vented his fury on social media after the match.

Posting on his Instagram story, Luiz simply wrote the word “unbelievable” with four exclamation marks and added several angry emojis.

Neves watched birth of son on his phone

Ruben Neves has revealed that he watched the birth of his third child on his phone to ensure he avoided missing any of Wolverhampton Wanderers’ crucial matches.

The midfielder’s wife Debora gave birth to their son Mateo on Saturday but due to coronavirus travel restrictions, Neves couldn’t return to Portugal to witness it.

“I watched it on my phone on the coach when we were coming back from Crystal Palace,” Neves said after helping Wolves secure a 2-1 win over Arsenal on Tuesday. “It’s not easy to be honest, it’s really hard. It’s really hard to not be there for an amazing moment for my family.

“Of course I wanted to be there but that’s the world we live in at the moment. So we need to get used to it. We need to do everything we can to solve things because we are in big problems.

“My wife went to Portugal because her doctor is from there. She had problems with our first baby so we always want to go with the same doctor. So that’s why it was our decision to have the baby in Portugal.”
